SCIENCE CHANNEL DELIVERS DOUBLE DIGIT GAINS IN 3Q16 AMONG KEY DEMOS INCLUDING ADULTS 25-54 AND TOTAL VIEWERS IN TOTAL DAY VS. 3Q15
Network Delivers Year Over Year Gains Among Adults 25-54, Total Viewers and Men and Women 25-54 in September 2016
The success of hit series THROUGH THE WORMHOLE WITH MORGAN FREEMAN, NASA'S UNEXPLAINED FILES and UNEARTHED during 3Q16 helped Science Channel deliver double-digit gains among Adults 25-54 (+10%), Total Viewers (+11%) and Women 25-54 (+14%), as well as Men 25-54 (+7%) during Total Day vs. 3Q15 in L+3. In September, Science Channel delivered primetime gains among Adults 25-54 (+7%) with gains among Men 25-54 (+5%), Women 25-54 (+9%) and Total Viewers (+7% ) vs. Sept. 2015. Additionally, the network had double-digit gains for the month in Total Day among Adults 25-54 (+10%) and Total Viewers (+11%) vs. the same month last year.
3Q16 highlights included UNEARTHED which averaged 622,000 Total Viewers and ranks as the third most watched original Science Channel series this year. NASA'S UNEXPLAINED FILES averaged 540,000 Total Viewers during 3Q16, 65% above the Science Channel primetime average for the quarter, with 245,000 Adults 25-54 and THROUGH THE WORMHOLE WITH MORGAN FREEMAN averaged 532,000 Total Viewers, 62% above the Science Channel prime time average, with 229,000 Adults 25-54.
