UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - May 6, 2014 - With "The Voice" and "The Blacklist" accounting for three of the week's top five ratings in adults 18-49 among primetime programs on the Big 4 networks, NBC has averaged a 1.5 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 6.1 million viewers overall for the week of April 28-May 4, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

The 1.5 rating for NBC is a four-week high, best since the week of March 31-April 6 (1.5), and the average 6.1 million is NBC's highest in six weeks, since March 17-23.

The Monday edition of "The Voice" delivered the #2 adult 18-49 rating for the week on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, while "The Blacklist" tied the Tuesday "Voice" for #4. Also ranking in the Top 30 among Big primetime programs last week were "Chicago P.D." (tied for #23), "Chicago Fire" (tied for #27) and "Law & Order: SVU" (tied for #27).

Through 32 weeks of the season, NBC ranks #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, all key adult-female demos and other key measures. It's the first time NBC has ranked #1 in 18-49 this late in the season in 10 years (since the 2003-04 season).

NBC's 2.8 rating in adults 18-49 is the network's top average at this point in the season in five years (since a 2.8 in 2008-09).

Versus one year ago, NBC is up +17% season to date in adults 18-49 (2.8 vs. 2.4).

In total viewers, NBC ranks #2 for the season with an average of 9.4 million viewers, which is its biggest overall audience 32 weeks into the season in eight years (since 2005-06, 9.8 million). Versus one year ago, NBC is up +35% season to date in total viewers (9.4 million vs. 7.0 million). It's the first time NBC has ranked higher than #4 in total viewers at this point in the season in 10 years (since running #2 at this point in the 2003-04 season).

Through the season's 32nd week, NBC has won 84 nights in adults 18-49 among the Big 4 networks, more NBC nightlong wins than for any full September-to-May season since 2001-02 (131 wins).

Primetime averages for the week of April 28-May 4 in adults 18-49 are: ABC, 1.6/5; CBS, 1.6/5; NBC, 1.5/5; Fox, 1.2/4; and CW, 0.6/2. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 8.8 million; ABC, 6.6 million; NBC, 6.1 million; Fox, 3.9 million; and CW, 1.5 million.

Season-to-date averages are: NBC, 2.8/8; Fox, 2.5/7; CBS, 2.4/7; ABC, 2.1/6; and CW, 0.8/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 10.8 million; NBC, 9.4 million; ABC, 7.5 million; Fox, 7.5 million; and CW, 1.9 million.

NBC highlights for the week of April 28-May 4:

Monday: NBC won the night among the Big 4 in adults 18-49, taking six of six half-hours with the #1 and #2 shows of the night, "The Voice" and "The Blacklist." For the night, NBC was #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all key demographics.

"The Voice" (3.0 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49, 11.6 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) is the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49 and other key demos. In the time period, "The Voice" is #1 or tied for #1among the Big 4 networks in every key demo. "The Voice" matched its 3.0 of the prior week in 18-49 and was up +3% in total viewers (11.579 million vs. 11.188).

"The Blacklist" (2.7/8 in adults 18-49, 10.8 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) won the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key measure - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers. The 2.7 kept "The Blacklist" within a tenth of a rating point of each of its prior five original telecasts. Versus NBC's averages in the time period last season, "The Blacklist" is up +35% in 18-49 (2.7 vs. 2.0, L+SD, non-sports) and up +89% in total viewers (10.846 million vs. 5.746 million).

L+7 Time-Shifting: So far this season, "Blacklist" originals have grown by an average +69% going from these "live plus same day" results to "live plus seven day" ratings in adults 18-49 (to a 4.94 from a 2.93) and increased by more than 6.1 million persons in total viewers (16.9 million vs. 10.8 million).

Tuesday: "The Voice" (2.7/9 in 18-49, 11.2 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49 and other key demos. "The Voice" grew from half-hour to half-hour in all key measures, including a gain of +12% in adults 18-49 (to a 2.9 from a 2.6).

"About a Boy" averaged a 1.6/5 in 18-49 and 6.3 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:31 p.m. ET. In the time period, "About a Boy" tied for #1 among the Big 4 nets in adults 18-49 and was the time period's #1 comedy in adults 25-54, women 25-54 and women 18-49.

"Growing Up Fisher" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 9:31-10 p.m. ET) retained 88% of its adult 18-49 lead-in from "About a Boy," equaling the show's highest retention to date. In the time period, "Fisher" was the #1 comedy on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers.

"Chicago Fire" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grew versus its prior original by 6% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.8 rating from a 1.7) and 2% in total viewers (7.058 million vs. 6.896 million). It's the most-watched "Chicago Fire" in total viewers since March 11. "Fire" grew from its first half-hour to its second by 6% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.8 from a 1.7) and pulled into a tie for #1 from 10:30-11 p.m. among ABC, CBS and NBC, erasing a deficit during the prior half-hour of 0.3 of a point.

Wednesday: With its first original in four weeks, "Revolution" (1.3/4 in adults 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) equaled its highest adult 18-49 rating since Jan. 22.

With its first original in three weeks, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.8/5 in adults 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) finished within 0.4 of a point of the slot lead among the Big 4 nets in the time period (with a 1.8 rating vs. a 2.2 for CBS's first-place "Criminal Minds"). In the hour, "SVU" finished within a tenth of a point of "American Idol" in adults 18-49 (with a 1.8 rating vs. a 1.9 for "Idol from 9-10). In adults 18-34, "Law & Order: SVU" ranked #1 in the time period among the Big 4 nets (with a 1.5 rating).

With its first original in three weeks, "Chicago P.D." (1.9/6 in 18-49, 7.3 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) finished #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, making it the first broadcast drama to win the slot over an original of CBS's "CSI" since premiere week last September (by a special two-hour "Law & Order: SVU"). Versus its prior original on April 9, last night's "Chicago P.D.," which concluded a crossover storyline with Tuesday's "Chicago Fire," is up +19% in 18-49 (to a 1.9 rating from a 1.6) and up +12% in total viewers (7.3 million vs. 6.5 million). "Chicago P.D." captured its highest 18-49 and total-viewer results since Feb. 26 (2.2 in 18-49, 8.0 million in total viewers) with a special "SVU" crossover episode. Excluding that "SVU" crossover, these are the top "Chicago P.D." results since the show's Jan. 8 premiere.

Thursday: "The "iHeart Radio Music Awards" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall from 8-11 p.m. ET) finished #2 for the night in adults 18-49 versus sweep-month competition on the other broadcast networks. The awards show matched NBC's top Thursday average of the season excluding Olympics and "The Sound of Music Live!" (the 1.7 was previously achieved on Nov. 7, the night of a special Thursday "Voice"). In total viewers, it was NBC's top Thursday, excluding Olympics and "The Sound of Music Live!," since Nov. 7. The "iHeart Radio Music Awards" were up +31% versus NBC non-sports season average for Thursday night in adults 18-49 (1.7 vs. 1.3) and up +30% in total viewers (5.477 million vs. 4.209 million).

For its sixth half-hour from 10:30-11 p.m., the "iHeart Radio Music Awards" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and other key demos. And for its third hour from 10-11 p.m., the "iHeart Radio Music Awards" tied for #1 among those nets in 18-49.

The "iHeart Radio Music Awards" topped "American Idol" head to head in the 9-9:30 half-hour in adults 18-49 (with a 1.7 rating vs. a 1.5), as well as men and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34.

Friday: "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) matched the prior week's rating in adults 18-49 and was up +4% in total viewers (6.0 million vs. 5.7 million).

"Grimm" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) grew in 18-49 rating for a second straight telecast, up +8% versus the prior week (with a 1.3 vs. a 1.2) to its highest rating since April 4, and up versus the telecast before that by +18% (1.3 vs. 1.1). "Grimm" ranked #1 among scripted programs in the hour on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34. L+7 Time-Shifting: "Grimm" originals are growing this season by an average of +82% in 18-49 rating when going from the show's L+SD results to L+7 (to a 2.60 from a 1.43) and increasing by 2.9 million persons in total viewers (8.3 million vs. 5.4 million).

"Hannibal" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.3 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) equaled its highest 18-49 rating since March 28. L+7 Time-Shifting: "Hannibal" originals are increasing this season by +72% in adults 18-49 when going from the show's L+SD results to L+7 (to a 1.48 from a 0.86) and gaining by more than 1.2 million persons in total viewers (3.9 million vs. 2.7 million).

Saturday: NBC finished #1 Saturday night among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and total viewers, as "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" and the 10 p.m. encore of "Saturday Night Live" tied for the night's #1 primetime rating on those networks in 18-49 (with CBS's "48 Hours") and "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" ranked #1 in primetime in total viewers.

"Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) won the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers. In total viewers, "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" grew +5% week to week (to 5.5 million from 5.2 million) and has now increased week to week in total viewers the last three weeks in a row. "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" delivered NBC's biggest overall audience in the time period, excluding sports, in more than six years (since Feb. 16, 2008, 5.7 million). From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" grew by +67% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 rating from a 0.6) and +45% or more than 1.9 million persons in total viewers (6.3 million vs. 4.4 million).

A rebroadcast of "Saturday Night Live" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET), with host Jonah Hill and musical guest Bastille, tied for the #1 rating of the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49.

Sunday: "American Dream Builders" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall from 7-8 p.m. ET. "American Dream Builders" grew from its first half-hour to its second in all key adult-female demographics.

"Dateline NBC" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grew +10% week to week in 18-49 rating and scored NBC's top rating in the slot since March 16. "Dateline" built on its lead-in by +120% in adults 18-49 and +159% or more than 3.4 million persons in total viewers.

"Believe" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) equaled its adult 18-49 rating of the prior week and retained 91% of its adult 18-49 lead-in. L+7 Time-Shifting: "Believe" originals are growing this season by an average of +70% in 18-49 rating from their L+SD results to L+7 (to a 1.95 from a 1.15) and increasing by more than 2.6 million persons in total viewers (7.6 million vs. 5.0 million).

"Crisis" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) maintained its 18-49 rating week to week and matched its top rating since April 13. "Crisis" retained 100% of its adult 18-49 lead-in. L+7 Time-Shifting: "Crisis" originals this season are increasing by an average +60% in 18-49 rating from their L+SD results to L+7 (to a 1.84 from a 1.15) and growing by 2.3 million persons in total viewers (7.0 million vs. 4.7 million).
