UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - November 15, 2011 - Paced by "NBC Sunday Night Football," which was the #1 primetime program of the week in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures, NBC averaged a 2.4 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 6.8 million viewers overall for the week of November 7-13, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research. For the week, NBC ranked #2 among the broadcast networks in men 18-34 and men 18-49.

This week's "NBC Sunday Night Football" telecast, in which the New England Patriots defeated the New York Jets 37-16, was the #1 primetime program of the week in the key demographic of adults 18-49, as well as adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and all key adult-male demos - men 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54. Also ranking among the top 25 primetime programs of the week on the broadcast networks in adults 18-49 was "The Office," which ranked #23 (tied). Among adults 18-34, "The Office" ranked #9 (tied) among primetime programs on ABC, CBS, NBC Fox and CW (rankings exclude NFL overruns and pre and post game telecasts).

Primetime averages for the week of November 7-13 in adults 18-49 were Fox (3.0/8), ABC (2.8/7), CBS (2.6/7), NBC (2.4/6) and CW (0.8/2). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (10.8 million), ABC (10.3 million), Fox (7.8 million), NBC (6.8 million) and CW (1.8 million).

NBC highlights for the week of November 7-13:

* On Sunday, NBC Sports' "Sunday Night Football" telecast of the New England Patriots at the New York Jets propelled NBC to a convincing primetime win in all key measures - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49, 25-54 and total viewers.

* NBC's margin of victory over its closest network competitor Sunday night was 51 percent in adults 18-49 and 65 percent or more than 7.0 million persons in total viewers.

* On Friday, "Grimm" built on its lead-in by 78 percent in adults 18-49 and 65 percent in total viewers to rank #2 in the hour in adults 18-49 and 25-54 and #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in men 25-54.

* "Grimm" was up 23 percent in adults 18-49 versus NBC's average in its Friday time period last season and up 33 percent versus NBC's results in the slot on the same night last year.

* Based on "live plus seven day" results for its October 28 debut, "Grimm" is the #1 new series and tied for the #3 show overall on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in terms of percentage increase going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven," growing by 47 percent in adults 18-49.

* On Thursday, "Parks and Recreation" built on its lead-in by 20 percent in adults 18-49 in a slot where NBC was on average flat last season versus original lead-ins from "Community." "Parks" this week improved on NBC's average in its slot last season by 13 percent in 18-49 rating.

* Also on Thursday, "The Office" built on its lead-in by 67 percent in adults 18-49 and 63 percent in total viewers to rank #2 in the slot among the broadcast networks in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demographics.

* On Wednesday, "Up All Night" was up 38 percent in 18-49 rating versus NBC's average in the time period last season and up 50 percent versus NBC's performance in the slot on the same night last year.

* So far this season, "Up All Night" is the #1 comedy and the #2 new series on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox in terms of percentage increase in going from "live plus same day" to "live plus seven" in 18-49 rating, gaining on average 46 percent.

* Also on Wednesday, "Harry's Law" grew week to week by 18 percent in 18-49 rating to match its season high in the demo.

* On Tuesday, "The Biggest Loser" weighed in with season highs in adults 18-49 and total viewers. This marks the third week in a row that "Loser" has generated week-to-week gains in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.

* Also on Tuesday, "Parenthood" finished within one share of the time-period lead in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 among the broadcast networks in adults 18-34, while attracting its biggest overall audience since September 27.

* On Monday, "The Sing-Off" increased 7 percent week to week in 18-49 rating.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

On Monday, November 7 from 8-10 p.m. ET, "The Sing-Off" averaged a 1.5 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall in a highly competitive time period that included CBS's "Two and a Half Men," "How I Met Your Mother," "Two Broke Girls" and "Mike & Molly," ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" and Fox's "Terra Nova" and "House." Week to week, "The Sing-Off" was up 7 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.4). Note that on average this season, "The Sing-Off" has been adding 19 percent to its "live plus same day" 18-49 rating when Nielsen reports additional time-shifted viewing in "live plus seven day" results.

Monday at 10 p.m. ET, "Rock Center with Brian Williams" averaged a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 3.5 million viewers overall, maintaining its premiere rating of the prior week in adults 18-49.

On Tuesday, November 8 from 8-10 p.m. ET, "The Biggest Loser" (2.4/6 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers) weighed in with season highs in adults 18-49 and total viewers in a time period that included competition from CBS's "NCIS" and "NCIS: Los Angeles," ABC's "Last Man Standing," "Man Up" and "Dancing With the Stars" and Fox's "Glee," "New Girl" and "Raising Hope." .

This marks the third week in a row that "Biggest Loser" has generated week-to-week gains in adults 18-49 and total viewers. "Loser" was up 4 percent in 18-49 rating versus the prior week (with a 2.4 vs. a 2.3), up 20 percent versus two weeks earlier (2.4 vs. 2.0) and up 26 percent versus three weeks ago. In total viewers, "Loser" gained 7 percent week to week (to 6.863 million from 6.429 million) and 25 percent versus two weeks earlier (6.863 million versus 5.510 million). .

Tuesday at 10 p.m., "Parenthood" (2.0/6 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall) finished within one share of the time-period lead in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 among the broadcast networks in adults 18-34. "Parenthood" attracted its biggest overall audience since September 27.

So far this season, "Parenthood" has added an average 42 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure.

On Wednesday, November 9 at 8 p.m. ET, "Up All Night" (1.8/5 in adults 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall) is up 38 percent versus the 1.3 rating NBC averaged in this time period last season ("live plus same day," non-sports), despite intense time-period competition that included Fox's "X Factor," CBS's "Survivor" and ABC's "CMA Awards." Versus NBC's 18-49 rating in this half-hour on the same night last year, "Up All Night" was up 50 percent (1.8 vs. 1.2).

Note that "Up All Night" has been adding 46 percent to these next-day "live plus same day" ratings when Nielsen issues "live plus seven day" results so far this season, the biggest percentage increase for any comedy on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox and the second biggest for any new series on those networks.

Wednesday at 8:30 ET, an encore telecast of "Up All Night" averaged a 1.2/3 in adults 18-49 and 3.5 million viewers overall in a time period that featured competition from Fox's "X Factor," the second half of CBS's "Survivor" and ABC's "CMA Awards."

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, "Harry's Law" (1.3/3 in adults 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 18 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.3 from a 1.1) to match its season high in the demo.

In total viewers, the seven original episodes of "Harry's Law" this fall have delivered NBC's seven biggest audiences in the time period on an in-season Wednesday since February 9. Versus NBC's total-viewer average in the time slot last season, this week's "Harry's Law" is up 24 percent (7.105 million vs. 5.752 million, "live plus same day," non-sports).

Note that "Harry's Law" has been adding 39 percent to these next-day "live plus same day" ratings when Nielsen issues "live plus seven day" results so far this season.

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.9/5 in 18-49, 6.7 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 46 percent in 18-49 rating while competing programming on ABC and CBS were down versus the 9-10 p.m. results. "SVU" also grew from its first half-hour to its second by 5 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.0 from a 1.9) while competing programs on ABC and CBS declined half-hour to half-hour.

Note that "Law & Order: SVU" has been adding 44 percent to these next-day "live plus same day" ratings when Nielsen issues "live plus seven day" results so far this season. .

On Thursday, November 10 at 8 p.m. ET, "Community" averaged a 1.5/5 in 18-49 and 3.5 million viewers overall in a highly competitive time period versus "CBS's "Big Bang Theory," Fox's "X Factor," ABC's "Charlie's Angels" and CW's "Vampire Diaries."

"Community" originals have been adding 37 percent to their next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating when Nielsen reports additional time-shifted viewing in "live plus seven day" ratings.

Thursday at 8:30 ET, "Parks and Recreation" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall) built on its 18-49 lead-in by 20 percent in a slot where NBC was on average flat last season versus original lead-ins from "Community." In a competitive time period versus CBS's "Rules of Engagement," Fox's "X Factor," ABC's "Charlie's Angels" and CW's "Vampire Diaries," "Parks and Recreation" improved on NBC's average in the time period last season by 13 percent in 18-49 rating (1.8 vs. 1.6, "live plus same day," non-sports). Keep in mind that on average this season, original telecasts of "Parks" have been adding 33 percent to their next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating when Nielsen includes additional time-shifted viewing in "live plus seven day" ratings.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, "The Office" (3.0/8 in 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 67 percent in 18-49 rating and 63 percent in total viewers in a highly competitive time period versus ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," Fox's "Bones" and CBS's encore telecast of "Person of Interest."

"The Office" ranked #2 in the half-hour among the broadcast networks in adults 18-49 and was #1 in adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demographics - men 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54 (tie). Note that on average this season, "Office" originals have been adding 42 percent to their next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating when Nielsen reports additional time-shifted viewing in "live plus seven day" ratings.

Thursday at 9:31 ET, "Whitney" (2.1/5 in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall) maintained its 18-49 rating week to week to match the show's highest result in that demo since October 6. In the time period, "Whitney" ranked #2 among the broadcast networks in adults 18-34 and #1 in men 18-34. Keep in mind that on average this season, "Whitney" originals have been adding 33 percent to their next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating when Nielsen reports additional time-shifted viewing in "live plus seven day" ratings.

Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, "Prime Suspect" (1.3/3 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 8 percent in both 18-49 rating (1.3 vs. 1.2) and total viewers (4.865 million vs. 4.508 million) to track down its biggest overall audience since October 6. Note that on average this season, original telecasts of "Prime Suspect" have been adding 34 percent to their next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating when Nielsen reports additional time-shifted viewing in "live plus seven day" ratings.

On Friday, November 11 at 8 p.m. ET, "Chuck" averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers overall. Based on "Live Plus 7 Day" results for its October 28 season premiere, "Chuck" is the #2 primetime series on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox in terms of percentage increase from L+SD to L+7 so far this season, behind only Fox's "Fringe" (+58%), growing by +51% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.59 rating from a 1.05).

Friday at 9 p.m. ET, "Grimm" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 78 percent in 18-49 rating and 65 percent or more than 2.0 million persons in total viewers. "Grimm" was up 23 percent in 18-49 rating versus NBC's average in this time period last season (1.6 vs. 1.3, "live plus same day," non-sports) and up 33 percent versus NBC's results in this slot on the same night last year (1.6 vs. 1.2). "Grimm" ranked #2 in the hour in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 and was #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in men 25-54.

Based on "Live Plus 7 Day" results for its October 28 debut, "Grimm" is the #1 new drama on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox in terms of percentage increase from L+SD to L+7 so far this season, and also the #1 new series and tied for the #3 show overall, growing by +47% in adults 18-49 (to a 3.15 rating from a 2.15).

Friday at 10 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) reported its top 18-49 and total-viewer results in four weeks (since October 14). Week to week, "Dateline" was up 17 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.2) and 19 percent in total viewers (4.932 million vs. 4.156 million). From its first half-hour to its second, "Dateline" grew in all key ratings categories, including gains of 15 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.3), 16 percent in adults 25-54 (2.2 vs. 1.9) and 9 percent in total viewers (5.1 million vs. 4.7 million).

On Saturday, November 12, at 8 p.m. ET, NBC Sports' coverage of Maryland-Notre Dame football averaged a 0.6/2 in adults 18-49, 2.1 million viewers overall and a 1.3/2 household rating/share for its full duration from 7:40-10:42 p.m. ET.

On Sunday, November 13, the "NBC Sunday Night Football" telecast of the New England Patriots at the New York Jets propelled NBC to a convincing primetime win in all key ratings measures. For its full duration, the Patriots-Jets game averaged an 8.1/20 in adults 18-49, 20.9 million viewers overall and a 12.9/20 household rating/share from 8:31-11:37 p.m. ET.

NBC won Sunday night in all key ratings categories - adults, men and women 18-49; adults, men and women 18-34; adults, men and women 25-54; plus total viewers. NBC topped its closest primetime rival by 51 percent in 18-49 rating (6.8 vs. a 4.5 for Fox, which was boosted by an NFL overrun) and 65 percent or more than 7.0 million persons in total viewers (18.0 million vs. 10.9 million for Fox).

Also on Sunday, "Football Night in America 2" from 7:30-7:58 p.m. ET averaged a 2.0/5 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall and a 3.2/5 household rating/share. "Football Night in America 3" from 7:58-8:22 p.m. delivered a 4.0/11 in 18-49, 11.8 million viewers overall and a 7.2/11 in households. From 8:22-8:31 p.m., "NBC Sunday Night Football Pre Kickoff" averaged a 5.8/14 in 18-49, 16.2 million viewers overall and a 10.0/15 in households.
