THE TUESDAY EDITION OF 'AMERICA'S GOT TALENT' IS THE #1 PROGRAM ON THE WEEK IN TOTAL VIEWERS

WEDNESDAY'S 'AMERICA'S GOT TALENT' IS #2 IN TOTAL VIEWERS

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - September 7, 2011 - Paced by the Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "America's Got Talent," the week's top two telecasts in total viewers, NBC averaged a 1.2 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall for the week of August 29-September 4, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

The Tuesday and Wednesday editions of "America's Got Talent" ranked #2 and #5 for the week respectively among primetime programs on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49, #1 and #4 in adults 25-54 and #1 and #2 in total viewers. Also ranking in the top 20 for the week in adults 18-49 were Monday's "Dateline NBC" special, Wednesday's "Minute To Win It" and Wednesday's "Law & Order: SVU" encore, each tying for #19 with 1.4 ratings.

With 11.1 million and 10.7 million viewers respectively, the Tuesday and Wednesday telecasts of "America's Got Talent" topped the week's total-viewer list, marking the 14th consecutive week that "Talent" has ranked #1 among non-sports programs on the broadcast networks in total viewers.

Primetime averages for the week of August 29-September 4 in adults 18-49 were ABC (1.4/4), CBS (1.3/4), NBC (1.2/4), Fox (1.0/3) and CW (0.3/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (5.6 million), ABC (4.8 million), NBC (4.7 million), Fox (2.8 million) and CW (0.8 million).

NBC highlights for the week of August 29-September 4:

* On Monday, "Dateline NBC," featuring Jamie Gangel's interview with former Vice President Dick Cheney and Hoda Kotb's interview with Grammy Award-winner Miranda Lambert, ranked #1 in its hour among the broadcast networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures and reported NBC's biggest overall audience in the time period since June 27

* On Tuesday, "America's Got Talent" was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. "Talent" ranked #1 in its two-hour time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in all key measures -- adults, men and women 18-49; adults, men and women 18-34; adults, men and women 25-54, and total viewers -- as well as teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

* In it second hour from 10-11 p.m. Tuesday night, "America's Got Talent" beat the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key categories.

* Also on Tuesday, "It's Worth What?" delivered its highest 18-49 and total-viewer results in four weeks. Week to week, "It's Worth What?" was up 9 percent in 18-49 rating.

* NBC ranked #1 Tuesday night in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures. This marks the network's 14th consecutive Tuesday win in total viewers.

* On Wednesday, the "America's Got Talent" Results Show ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in all key measures -- adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers -- as well as teens 12-17 and kids 2-11. In total viewers, "Talent'" more than doubled its closest broadcast competitor in the time period.

* "America's Got Talent" was the #1 show on television Wednesday night in total viewers.

* Also on Wednesday, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" tied for #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49.

* On Friday, "Dateline NBC" reported the #1 rating of the night on ABC, NBC Fox and CW in adults 18-49, marking the 11th time this summer "Dateline" has been #1 or tied for #1 among Friday non-sports programs on those networks.

* NBC ranked #1 Friday night among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and other key demographics.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

On Monday, August 29 from 8-10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.1 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49, 4.5 million viewers) scored its highest Monday results in both 18-49 and total viewers since August 8.

At 10 p.m. ET, a Monday edition of "Dateline NBC," featuring Jamie Gangel's interview with former Vice President Dick Cheney and Hoda Kotb's interview with Grammy Award-winner Miranda Lambert, averaged a 1.4/4 in 18-49 and 5.5 million viewers overall.

"Dateline" ranked #1 among the broadcast networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures and reported NBC's biggest overall audience and second-highest 18-49 rating in the time period since June 27.

On Tuesday, August 30 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "It's Worth What?" 1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall) delivered its highest 18-49 rating and total-viewer results in four weeks (since August 2). "It's Worth What?" increased week to week by 9 percent in 18-49 rating (1.2 vs. 1.1). From its first half-hour to its second, "It's Worth What?" grew in nearly all key categories, including gains of 8 percent in 18-49 rating (1.3 vs. 1.2) and 11 percent in total viewers (4.721 million vs. 4.254 million).

Tuesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.1/8 in adults 18-49, 11.1 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in all key measures -- adults, men and women 18-49; adults, men and women 18-34; adults, men and women 25-54, and total viewers -- as well as teens 12-17 and kids 2-11. Versus the same night last year, "America's Got Talent" was up 3 percent in adults 18-49 (3.1 rating vs. a 3.0 on August 31, 2010).

"America's Got Talent" was the #1 show of the night on the broadcast networks in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures.

In the 10-11 p.m. ET hour "Talent" beat the ABC-CBS competition combined in adults 18-49 (3.3 vs. a combined 2.3), total viewers (11.3 million vs. a combined 10.5 million) other key categories.

NBC ranked #1 for the night in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures. This marks the network's 14th consecutive Tuesday win in total viewers.

On Wednesday, August 31 at 8 p.m. ET, "Minute To Win It" (1.4/4 in adults 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49, total viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-34. From its first half-hour to its second, "Minute To Win It" increased in every key ratings category, including gains of 25 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.2) and 18 percent in total viewers (6.0 million vs. 5.0 million).

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, the "America's Got Talent" Results Show (2.6/7 in 18-49, 10.7 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in all key measures -- adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers -- as well as teens 12-17 and kids 2-11. In adults 18-49, the "Talent" advantage in the hour was 44 percent (2.6 vs. a 1.8 for ABC's second-place "Modern Family" encores). In total viewers, "Talent's'" margin over its closest broadcast competitor was 106 percent (10.651 million vs. 5.174 million for CBS's "Criminal Minds" encore).

"America's Got Talent" was the #1 show of Wednesday night on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW in total viewers. "Talent" built on its lead-in by 86 percent in 18-49 rating and 94 percent in total viewers.

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.4/4 in 18-49 and 5.0 million viewers overall) tied for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, matching ABC's original "Primetime Nightline: My (Extra) Ordinary Family" (1.4 rating each).

NBC ranked #1 Wednesday night in total viewers.

On Thursday, September 1 at 8 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Community" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 1.9 million viewers overall. "Community" was cleared in 89 percent of the country. Then at 8:30 p.m., a rebroadcast "Parks and Recreation" delivered a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 1.5 million viewers overall. "Parks and Recreation" was seen in 89 percent of the country.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 2.1 million viewers overall. "The Office" built on its lead-in by 50 percent in 18-49 rating and tied for #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49. "The Office" was cleared in 89 percent of the country. Then from 9:31-10 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "30 Rock" delivered a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 1.7 million viewers overall. "30 Rock" was cleared in 89 percent of the country.

Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" averaged a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 2.8 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "SVU" grew in all key ratings categories, including increases of 50 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.6) and 43 percent in total viewers (3.3 million vs. 2.3 million). "SVU" was seen in 91 percent of the country.

On Friday, September 2 at 8 p.m. ET, "Friends With Benefits" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall. At 8:30, a second episode of "Friends With Benefits" delivered a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 1.8 million viewers overall.

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults and women 18-34; adults, men and women 18-49; and adults, men and women 25-54. This marks the ninth week in a row and the 12th time in its last 13 telecasts that Friday's "Dateline" has ranked #1 or tied for #1 in the slot among non-sports programs on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49.

"Dateline NBC" is the #1 program of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox or CW in adults 18-49. It's the 11th time this summer "Dateline NBC" has ranked #1 or tied for #1 among all non-sports Friday telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW.

On Saturday, September 3 from 8-9 p.m. ET, NBC's overrun coverage of South Florida-Notre Dame College Football averaged a 0.9/4 in adults 18-49 and 3.1 million viewers overall.

Saturday from 9-11 p.m. ET, the "NBC Movie of the Week" "Game Time: Tackling the Past" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Game Time: Tackling the Past" grew by 50 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.6 from a 0.4) and by 71 percent or 1.2 million persons in total viewers (2.9 million vs. 1.7 million).

On Sunday, September 4, from 7-8:15 p.m. ET, "Dateline Classic" averaged a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 4.1 million viewers overall. "Dateline Classic" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in the time period in total viewers.

Sunday from 8:15-11 p.m. ET, the "NBC Movie of the Week" "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" averaged a 0.9/3 in 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall. From its first full half-hour to its sixth, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" grew by 83 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.6) and by 43 percent or 1.4 million persons in total viewers (4.6 million vs. 3.2 million).
