UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - July 12, 2011 -Paced by "America's Got Talent," which was the #1 program of the week in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures, NBC has won the primetime week of July 4-10 in adults 18-49, averaging a 1.6 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 5.8 million viewers overall, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

It's the fourth week in a row NBC has led in adults 18-49, marking the first time since August-September 2008 that NBC has won in adults 18-49 for four consecutive weeks. NBC also ranked #1 this week in adults 25-54 and other key demographic measures.

Versus the same week last year, NBC was up by 7 percent in adults 18-49 (with a 1.6 rating vs. a 1.5), up 11 percent in adults 25-54 (2.0 vs. 1.8) and up 12 percent in total viewers (5.8 million vs. 5.2 million). It's the fifth week in a row NBC has improved on its year-age results in both 18-49 and total viewers.

Tuesday's two-hour edition of "America's Got Talent" was the #1 program of the week in virtually all key ratings measures, including adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

Altogether, NBC had three programs in the top five, four in the top 10 and six in the top 20 programs of the week in primetime's key demographic of adults 18-49. In addition to Tuesday's two-hour "Talent" at #1, Wednesday's "America's Got Talent" and a special Tuesday 8 p.m. ET edition of "Talent" were tied at #3. NBC's July 4 telecast of "Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular" ranked #8 (tied) among all programs in adults 18-49, "Love in the Wild" ranked #11 (tied) and the Friday edition of "Dateline" ranked #19 (tied).

In total viewers, NBC programmed three of the top five and four of the top 10 programs of the week - Tuesday's two-hour "America's Got Talent," with 15.8 million viewers, was #1. Wednesday's "America's Got Talent" (12.8 million) ranked #3, the Tuesday 8 p.m. ET "America's Got Talent" (12.6 million) was #4 and "Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular" (8.7 million) was #6.

Primetime averages for the week of July 4-10 in adults 18-49 were NBC (1.6/5), ABC (1.4/5), CBS and Fox (1.3/4) and CW (0.3/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (5.9 million), NBC (5.8 million), ABC (5.2 million), Fox (3.5 million) and CW (0.7 million).

On Monday, July 4, "Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular" hit the annual telecast's highest adult 18-49 rating in four years and its biggest overall audience in 11 years. Versus last year's telecast, "Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular" was up 50 percent in adults 18-49 and 26 percent in total viewers

On Tuesday, the first elimination-round telecast of "America's Got Talent" matched the show's highest rating ever in adults 18-49, tying the series debut of five years ago. In total viewers, Tuesday's 9-11 p.m. ET telecast marked the third biggest "Talent" overall viewership to date, behind only the 2010 and 2009 season finales, making it the biggest audience ever excluding finales.

Tuesday's 9-11 p.m. ET "America's Got Talent" was the #1 program of the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers and won its two-hour time period among the broadcast networks in every key ratings category -- adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

Also on Tuesday, the final audition episode of "America's Got Talent" from 8-9 p.m. ET won its time period in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, total viewers and all other key demographics. The 8 p.m. "Talent" generated winning margins of 125 percent in adults 18-49 rating and 41 percent in total viewers.

NBC dominated all six primetime half-hours Tuesday in adults 18-49 and total viewers. NBC ranked #1 for the night in all key ratings categories, including adults 18-34, adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers. This marked NBC's fourth consecutive Tuesday win in adults 18-49 and sixth in a row in total viewers.

On Wednesday, "America's Got Talent" was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures.

Wednesday's "Talent" built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 157 percent in 18-49 rating and 149 percent in total viewers. From its first half-hour to its second, "America's Got Talent" grew by 21 percent in adults 18-49 and 19 percent or more than 2.2 million persons in total viewers.

Also on Wednesday, "Love in the Wild" ranked #1 in the 10 p.m. ET hour in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and other key demos.

NBC won Wednesday night in adults 25-54 and total viewers and was #2 in adults 18-49, with a 2.3 average from 8-11 p.m. versus a 2.4 for Fox from 8-10 p.m. This marks the fifth consecutive week that NBC has ranked #1 on Wednesday night in total viewers

On Friday, "Dateline NBC" was the top-rated show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and led those networks in its time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key measures.

Week to week, "Dateline" reported gains of 36 percent in adults 18-49 rating and 24 percent in total viewers.

Additionally on Friday, "Friday Night Lights" gained 17 percent in 18-49 rating and 23 percent in total viewers versus the prior week

NBC tied for #1 in primetime Friday among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 outright in adults 25-54.

On Sunday, "Dateline NBC" reported its highest 18-49 rating and biggest overall viewership for a Sunday telecast since May 22.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

On Monday, July 4 from 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "America's Got Talent" (1.2 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key categories. The "Talent" rebroadcast grew from its first half-hour to its second in all key ratings categories, including gains of 27 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.1) and 12 percent in total viewers (5.135 million vs. 4.579 million).

At 9 p.m. ET "Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular" (2.1/8 in adults 18-49, 8.7 million viewers overall) was the #1 program of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. It ranked #1 in its time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures.

This was the highest 18-49 rating for the "Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular" since Wednesday, July 4, 2007, and the annual telecast's biggest overall audience since Tuesday, July 4, 2000.

Versus last year's Sunday telecast, "Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular" was up 50 percent in adults 18-49 (2.1 vs. 1.4) and 26 percent or 1.8 million persons in total viewers (8.713 million vs. 6.918 million).

Monday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular" (1.3/5 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and adults 25-54, ahead of CBS's original "Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular" and ABC's encore "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition."

NBC ranked #1 for the night among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key categories. NBC won six of six primetime half-hours in adults 18-49.

On Tuesday, July 5 from 8-9 p.m. ET, the final audition episode of "America's Got Talent" (3.6/11 in 18-49, 12.6 million viewers overall) won its time period in adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, total viewers and all other key demographics. The 8 p.m. ET "America's Got Talent" generated winning margins of 125 percent in 18-49 rating (with a 3.6 vs. a 1.6 for ABC's "Wipeout") and 41 percent in total viewers (12.6 million vs. 8.9 million for CBS's second-place "NCIS" encore).

Versus NBC's average in this time period last summer, "America's Got Talent" was up 140 percent in 18-49 rating (with a 3.6 rating vs. a 1.5, "live plus same day," non-sports) and up 142 percent in total viewers (12.585 million vs. 5.198 million). Versus the prior week, the 8 p.m. edition of "America's Got Talent" is up in 18-49 rating by 9 percent (3.6 vs. 3.3).

Tuesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, the first elimination-round telecast of "America's Got Talent" (4.6/12 in adults 18-49, 15.8 million viewers overall) matched the show's highest rating ever in adults 18-49, tying the series debut of five years ago (a 4.6 on Wednesday, June 21, 2006). In total viewers, this marked the third biggest "Talent" overall audience to date behind only the 2010 and 2009 finales, making it the biggest audience ever excluding finales.

The 9-11 p.m. ET "America's Got Talent" was the #1 program of the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers and won its two-hour time period among the broadcast networks in every key ratings category -- adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers.

"Minute To Win It" set new season highs for a Wednesday telecast in adults 18-49 and total viewers.

Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.6/11 in 18-49, 12.8 million viewers overall) was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. "Talent" ranked #1 in its time period in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures (including a tie with Fox among women 18-34).

"Talent" built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 157 percent in 18-49 rating and 149 percent in total viewers. From its first half-hour to its second, "America's Got Talent" grew by 21 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 4.0 from a 3.3) and 19 percent or more than 2.2 million persons in total viewers (to 13.981 million from 11.718 million).

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Love in the Wild" (1.9/5 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the hour in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54 and other key demos. "Love in the Wild" was up 12 percent in adults 18-49 versus NBC's average in the time period last summer in 18-49 (1.9 vs. 1.7, "live plus same day," non-sports).

NBC won Wednesday night in adults 25-54 and total viewers and was #2 in adults 18-49, with a 2.3 average from 8-11 p.m. versus a 2.4 for Fox from 8-10 p.m. This marks the fifth consecutive week that NBC has ranked #1 on Wednesday night in total viewers.

On Thursday, July 7 at 8 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Community" delivered a 0.6/3 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall. At 8:30 p.m., a rebroadcast of "Parks and Recreation" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.1 million viewers overall) built on its 18-49 lead-in by 33 percent.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 25 percent in 18-49 rating. From 9:31-10 p.m., a rebroadcast "30 Rock" delivered a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall.

Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, "Love Bites" averaged a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall.

On Friday, July 8 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Friday Night Lights" averaged a 0.7/3 in 18-49 and 3.0 million viewers overall. Week to week, "Friday Night Lights" gained 17 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.7 from a 0.6) and 23 percent in total viewers (3.006 million vs. 2.453 million).

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall) was the top-rated show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and topped those networks in the time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key measures.

Week to week, "Dateline" reported gains of 36 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.5 from a 1.1) and 24 percent or more than 1.1 million persons in total viewers (5.786 million vs. 4.660 million). These were "Dateline's" top Friday results in both 18-49 and total viewers in three weeks and "Dateline" matched its highest 18-49 rating since May 6.

From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 23 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.6 from a 1.3) and 24 percent or 1.2 million persons in total viewers (6.2 million vs. 5.0 million).

NBC tied for #1 in primetime Friday among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 outright in adults 25-54.

On Saturday, July 9 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Minute To Win It" delivered a 0.4/2 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Minute" grew by 67 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.5 from a 0.3) and by 28 percent in total viewers (2.3 million vs. 1.8 million).

Saturday at 9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 3.4 million viewers overall. Week to week, the Saturday "CI" was up 25 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 0.5 from a 0.4) and 41 percent in total viewers (3.375 million vs. 2.398 million).

Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 80 percent in 18-49 rating and 29 percent in total viewers to rank #2 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in all key ratings categories.

On Sunday, July 10, from 7-8 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 4.6 million viewers overall) reported its highest `18-49 rating and biggest overall viewership for a Sunday telecast since May 22.
