NBC RESULTS FOR THE PRIMETIME WEEK OF APRIL 25-MAY 1

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - May 3, 2011 - Paced this week by "The Voice," which debuted as the #3 primetime show of the week in adults 18-49, and an expanded episode of "The Office," which ranked #5 and was the #1 scripted show of the week in primetime's key demo, NBC averaged a 2.0 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 5.9 million viewers overall for the week of April 25-May 1, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research. This marks NBC's top weekly score in adults 18-49 since the week of January 10-16.

Tuesday's premiere telecast of "The Voice" ranked #3 among all primetime series this week in adults 18-49, behind only two editions of "American Idol." "The Voice" also ranked among the top 5 programs of the week in every other key demographic measure -- men and women 18-49; adults, men and women 18-34; and adults, men and women 25-54 - as well as teens 12-17. In total viewers, "The Voice" ranked #8 among all primetime programs for the week.

Thursday's expanded telecast of "The Office" ranked #5 among all primetime programs in adults 18-49 and was the #1 scripted show of the week in adults 18-49, trailing only the Wednesday and Thursday editions of "American Idol," "The Voice" and "Dancing With the Stars." Also ranking among the top programs of the week in adults 18-49 were "Celebrity Apprentice" (#11) and "The Biggest Loser: Couples" (#15).

Among adults 18-34, "The Office" was the #2 program of the week and "The Voice" ranked #3, with both series trailing only the Wednesday edition of "American Idol" in this valuable demographic. Also ranking among the top programs of the week in adults 18-34 were "Parks and Recreation" (#10), "Celebrity Apprentice" (#16) and "30 Rock" and Wednesday's rebroadcast of "The Voice" (tied at #19).

This week's episode of "The Office," titled "Goodbye, Michael," proved especially popular with male viewers, ranking #3 (tied) among all programs in men 25-54, #2 among men 18-49 and emerging as the #1 program of the week in men 18-34.

Primetime averages for the week of April 25-May 1 in adults 18-49 were Fox (2.7/8), ABC (2.2/6), NBC (2.0/6), CBS (1.9/5) and CW (0.8/2). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were ABC (8.7 million), CBS (8.4 million), Fox (8.1 million), NBC (5.9 million) and CW (1.8 million).

NBC highlights for the week of April 25-May 1:

* On Sunday, "The Celebrity Apprentice" was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49, out-rating such Sunday primetime competitors as CBS's "Amazing Race" and "Undercover Boss," ABC's "Desperate Housewives" and Fox's "The Simpsons."

* "Celebrity Apprentice" hit a new season high in total viewers and matched its season high rating in adults 18-49. Week to week, "Celebrity Apprentice" increased 3 percent in adults 18-49 rating and 5 percent in total viewers.

* Also on Sunday, the season finale of "America's Next Great Restaurant" matched its series high in 18-49 rating and attracted its biggest overall audience since its series premiere on March 6, despite being seen in just 83 percent of the country due to news preemptions in the Western U.S. Week to week, "Next Great Restaurant" served up gains of 33 percent in adults 18-49 and 18 percent in total viewers.

* NBC tied for #1 Sunday night in adults 18-49, NBC's first share of the Sunday primetime lead since January 2, the closing night of the regular NFL season.

* On Thursday, an expanded episode of "The Office" entitled "Goodbye, Michael" was the #1 scripted show of the night in adults 18-49 and other key measures.

* It was the top-rated episode of "The Office" in adults 18-49 since January 20 and in total viewers it was the biggest overall audience for the show since its season premiere on September 23, 2010.

* In the 9-9:30 p.m. ET half-hour, "The Office" ranked #1 among the broadcast networks in the 9-9:30 p.m. ET half-hour in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos, topping such competition as ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," CBS's "CSI" and Fox's "Bones. "

* Also on Thursday, an expanded edition of "Parks and Recreation" finished within 1 share of the time-period lead in adults 18-49 in the 10-10:30 p.m. ET half-hour and ranked #1 among the broadcast networks in adults 18-34 and key male demos.

* On Wednesday, a rebroadcast of Tuesday's debut of "The Voice" delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period in 11 weeks

* Wednesday's encore telecast of "The Voice" ranked #2 in its two-hour time period in adults 18-49 and other key demographics. For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "The Voice" rebroadcast ranked #1 versus all broadcast and cable competition in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key measures.

* On Tuesday, the premiere of "The Voice" scored the highest 18-49 rating for any series premiere on a major broadcast network since CBS's "Undercover Boss" debuted following the Super Bowl XLIV in February 2010.

* "The Voice" was the #1 show on Tuesday night in adults 18-49. It won its two-hour time period in all key demographics - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 -- as well as teens 12-17.

* In the key demographic of adults 18-49, "The Voice" prevailed in head-to-head competition over Fox's "Glee" and ABC's "Dancing With The Stars."

* Versus NBC's season average for the time period, "The Voice" was up 89 percent in adults 18-49 and 60 percent in total viewers.

* Also on Tuesday, "The Biggest Loser: Couples" weighed in with its heftiest results in the 8-9 p.m. hour in five weeks. "Biggest Loser" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults, men and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34.

* NBC ranked #1 Tuesday night in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics, with the network's highest Tuesday averages of the season with entertainment programming in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures.

* On Monday, "The Event" posted week-to-week gains of 18 percent in adults 18-49 and 20 percent in total viewers.

* Also on Monday, "Law & Order: LA" increased week-to-week by 18 percent in adults 18-49 and 13 percent in total viewers.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of April 25-May 1

On Monday, April 25 from 9-10 p.m. ET, "The Event" (1.3 rating, 3 share, 4.6 million viewers overall) grew versus the prior week by 18 percent in 18-49 rating (1.3 vs. 1.1) and 20 percent in total viewers (4.620 million vs. 3.850 million). "The Event" attracted its biggest overall audience since its mid-season debut on March 7 and matched its highest 18-49 rating since that same date.

"The Event" built by 44 percent in 18-49 rating and 67 percent in total viewers versus its lead-in from the previous hour - a 0.9/3 and 2.8 million viewers overall for a rebroadcast of "Chuck" from 8-9 p.m. ET.

These results for "The Event" are likely to increase substantially when Nielsen releases "live plus seven day" results for the week of April 25-May 1. Since its return to the schedule on March 7, "The Event" has added an average 43 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure.

Monday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: LA" (1.3/3 in adults 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall) increased versus the prior week by 18 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.1) and by 13 percent in total viewers (5.8 million vs. 5.1 million).

On Tuesday, April 26 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "The Biggest Loser: Couples" (2.6/8 in 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall) weighed in with its heftiest results in the 8-9 p.m. hour in five weeks (since March 22). "Biggest Loser" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults, men and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34. From its first half-hour to its second, "Loser" gained 21 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.9 from a 2.4) and 14 percent or more than 1.0 million persons in total viewers (7.951 million vs. 6.945 million).

Tuesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, the premiere of "The Voice" (5.1/13 in adults 18-49, 11.8 million viewers overall) was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49. That 5.1 rating in adults 18-49 was the top score for any series premiere on a major broadcast network since CBS's "Undercover Boss" debuted following Super Bowl XLIV on February 7, 2010.

"The Voice" won its two-hour time period in all key demographics - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 -- as well as teens 12-17. In the key demographic of adults 18-49, "The Voice" prevailed in head-to-head competition over Fox's "Glee" (4.6 vs. a 3.4 for "Glee" from 9-9:30 p.m. ET) and ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" (4.9 vs. a 3.6 for "Dancing" from 9-10 p.m.).

In its two-hour time period from 9-11 p.m. ET, "The Voice" outperformed ABC-CBS combined in adults, men and women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34 (Note: CBS programs were encore presentations).

Versus NBC's season average for the time period, "The Voice" was up 89 percent in adults 18-49 (with a 5.1 rating vs. a 2.7, live plus same day) and 60 percent in total viewers (11.775 million vs. 7.347 million).

NBC ranked #1 for the night in adults 18-49 and all other key demographics, with the network's highest Tuesday averages of the season with entertainment programming in adults 18-49 (4.3/11), total viewers (10.3 million) and other key measures.

On Wednesday, April 27 from 8-9 p.m. the NBC special "Inside the Royal Wedding" (1.2/3 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) generated NBC's highest 18-49 rating in this time period in four weeks (since March 30) and attracted the network's biggest overall audience in the slot in 12 weeks (since February 2).

Wednesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of Tuesday's debut of "The Voice" (2.2/6 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall) delivered NBC's top 18-49 rating in this time period in 11 weeks (since February 9). In total viewers, it was NBC's best result in the slot in four weeks (since March 30). In its two-hour time period, "The Voice" encore ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and other key demographics.

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, the rebroadcast of "The Voice" ranked #1 versus all broadcast and cable competition in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key measures.

On Thursday, April 28 at 8 p.m. ET, "Community" averaged a 1.4/4 in adults 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers overall in a highly competitive time period opposite Fox's "American Idol," CBS's "Big Bang Theory," ABC's Royal Wedding coverage and CW's "Vampire Diaries." "Community" was up week-to-week by 6 percent in total viewers (3.345 million vs. 3.166 million). Through the first 28 weeks of the season, "Community" has added an average 26 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure

At 8:30 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall) delivered NBC's top 18-49 rating in the half-hour since March 24.

Thursday from 9-9:53 p.m. ET, an expanded episode of "The Office" (4.2/11 in adults 18-49, 8.4 million viewers overall) was the #1 scripted show of the night in adults 18-49 and other key measures.

In adults 18-49, this was the top-rated episode of "The Office" since January 20 and in total viewers it was the biggest overall audience for the show since its season premiere on September 23, 2010. In the 9-9:30 p.m. ET half-hour, "The Office" ranked #1 among the broadcast networks in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos, topping such competition as ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," CBS's "CSI" and Fox's "Bones," which benefitted from an "American Idol" lead-in.

These results for "The Office" are likely to increase substantially when Nielsen issues "live plus seven day" results for the week of April 18-24. Through the first 28 weeks of the season, "The Office" added an average 32 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" figure. In total viewers, The Office" on average gains 27 percent or 2.0 million viewers (to 9.3 million from 7.3 million).

From 9:53-10:30 p.m. ET, an expanded edition of "Parks and Recreation" averaged a 2.3/6 in 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall. In the 10-10:30 p.m. half-hour, "Parks" finished within 1 share of #1 in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 among the broadcast networks in adults 18-34, men 18-34 and men 18-49 (tied).

Thursday from 10:30-11 p.m. ET, "30 Rock" delivered a 1.9/5 in adults 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall). "30 Rock" ranked #1 among the broadcast networks in the half-hour in adults and men 18-34.

It's worth noting that through the first 28 weeks of the season, "30 Rock" added an average 31 percent to its 18-49 rating when going from the previously reported "live plus same day" rating to its "live plus seven day" results.

On Friday, April 29 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Friday Night Lights" averaged a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 3.0 million viewers overall.

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" reported a 1.2/4 in 18-49 and 4.9 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 27 percent in both adults 18-49 (to a 1.4 rating from a 1.1) and adults 25-54 (1.9 vs. 1.5).

On Saturday, April 30 at 8 p.m. ET, "Chase" captured a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers overall. Week to week, "Chase" grew by 22 percent in total viewers (3.773 million vs. 3.100 million).

Saturday at 9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Law & Order: LA" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers overall. Week to week, "Law & Order: LA" increased by 12 percent in total viewers (3.585 million vs. 3.189 million).

Saturday from 10-11 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" locked up a 1.0/3 in 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers overall. Week to week, the Saturday "SVU" rebroadcast grew by 11 percent in 18-49 rating (1.0 vs. 0.9) and 28 percent in total viewers (5.070 million vs. 3.966 million).

On Sunday, May 1 from 7-7:45 p.m. ET, the portion of "Dateline NBC" that was seen in all time zones delivered a 1.2/4 in 18-49 and 5.4 million viewers overall, which was the news program's highest Sunday 18-49 rating since March 6 and its biggest overall audience for a Sunday telecast since March 13. Week to week, "Dateline" reported increases of 50 percent in 18-49 rating (1.2 vs. 0.8) and 25 percent in total viewers (5.351 million vs. 4.294 million). From 7:45-8 p.m. ET, the portion of "Dateline" that was seen in only 83 percent of the country due to news preemptions in the Western U.S. averaged a 1.4/4 in 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers overall.

Sunday from 8-9 p.m. ET, the season finale of "America's Next Great Restaurant" (1.6/4 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall) matched a series high in 18-49 rating and attracted its biggest overall audience since its series premiere on March 6, despite being seen in just 83 percent of the country due to news preemptions in the Western U.S. Week to week, "America's Next Great Restaurant" served up gains of 33 percent in adults 18-49 (1.6 vs. 1.2) and 18 percent in total viewers (4.407 million vs. 3.727 million).

From its first half-hour to its second, "America's Next Great Restaurant" grew in every key ratings category, including gains of 13 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.7 rating from a 1.5), 12 percent in adults 25-54 (1.9 vs. 1.7) and 36 percent in adults 18-34 (1.5 vs. 1.1).

Sunday from 9-10:45 p.m. ET, "The Celebrity Apprentice" (3.1/8 in 18-49, 8.3 million viewers overall) was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49, out-rating such Sunday primetime competitors as CBS's "Amazing Race" and "Undercover Boss," ABC's "Desperate Housewives" and Fox's "The Simpsons." "Celebrity Apprentice" matched its season high rating in adults 18-49 and hit a new season high in total viewers. Week to week, "Celebrity Apprentice" increased 3 percent in 18-49 rating (3.1 vs. 3.0) and 5 percent in total viewers (8.649 million vs. 8.257 million).

"Celebrity Apprentice" won its time period in adults 18-49, prevailing head-to-head against such competition as ABC's "Desperate Housewives," CBS's "Undercover Boss" and "CSI: Miami" and Fox's "Family Guy" encore.

"The Celebrity Apprentice" generated steady growth throughout its one-hour, 45-minute telecast, increasing by 17 percent in 18-49 rating from its first half-hour to its final quarter-hour (to a 3.4 from a 2.9) and by 10 percent in total viewers (to 9.242 million from 8.425 million). Note: the final 15 minutes of "Celebrity Apprentice" were pre-empted in the Eastern U.S. by news coverage.

"The Celebrity Apprentice" built on its lead-in by 94 percent in 18-49 and 196 percent in total viewers. Versus NBC's non-sports average in this time period earlier this season prior to the "Apprentice" debut, "Celebrity Apprentice" was up 72 percent in 18-49 rating (3.1 vs. 1.8, "live plus same day") and 42 percent in total viewers (8.649 million vs. 6.103 million).
