ABC won its third straight week among Adults 18-49 (4.1/11), representing the Net�s most competitive start to a television season in 12 years � since the opening weeks of the 1993-94 TV Season. ABC also took first place during the week in Adults 18-34, outpacing second-place Fox by 14% (3.3/10 vs. 2.9/9).

� ABC gained 1.2 million viewers (10.9 million vs. 9.7 million) and 8% among Adults 18-49 (4.1/11 vs. 3.8/11) from the same week last year (w/o 10/4/04). On average this season, ABC has grown its primetime audience by 12% among Total Viewers (11.4 million vs. 10.2 million) and by 10% among Adults 18-49 (4.3/11 vs. 3.9/11).

Rankings: ABC aired 4 of the Top 10 television shows for the week in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, including the No. 1 show in the key young adult sales demo and 3 in the Top 4. Adults 18-49: �Desperate Housewives� � No. 1, �Lost� � No. 3, �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 4 and �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� � No. 7. Total Viewers: �Desperate Housewives� � No. 2, �Lost� � No. 3, �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 6, and �Commander In Chief� � No. 8. In addition to being the top show in Adults 18-49 for the third week in a row, ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� was also the highest-rated TV program during the week in Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and across the women demographics (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54). ABC�s �Monday Night Football� ranked as the No. 1 program of the week among Men 18-34. Sunday night�s �Home Edition� was the top-rated broadcast of the week among Kids 2-11. ABC News� �20/20� qualified as the No. 1 newsmagazine for the second week in a row among Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.

Monday

ABC led Monday night among Adults 18-49 (5.0/13), beating second-place CBS by 4% (4.8/12), third-place NBC by 19% (4.2/10) and fourth-place Fox by 52% (3.3/8). It is ABC�s 5th straight week to win Monday�s primetime race in Adults 18-49. ABC also ranked as the No. 1 network on Monday night in Adults 18-34 (4.4/13).

�Wife Swap� (8:00-9:00 p.m. Note: Show airs at various times before and after MNF across the U.S.)

ABC�s �Wife Swap� drew 7.1 million viewers and a 2.7 rating, 8 share among and Adults 18-49, delivering the unscripted series� largest audience of the season. �Wife Swap� earned second place in the time period among Adults 18-34 (2.5/8 - tie).

� From start to finish, �Wife Swap� gained 10% in Total Viewers (6.8 million to 7.5 million) and 20% among Adults 18-49 (2.5/8 to 3.0/8).

� In its three telecasts in the hour, �Wife Swap� has improved the time period for ABC. Versus ABC�s delivery last season in the time period with regular programming during the run of �Monday Night Football,� �Wife Swap� has boosted the Net�s delivery by 2.1 million viewers (6.9 million vs. 4.8 million) and by 69% in Adults 18-49 (2.7/8 vs. 1.6/5).

�Monday Night Football: Green Bay at Carolina� (9:07 p.m. -11:56 p.m.)

ABC�s coverage of �NFL Monday Night Football�, featuring the Green Bay Packers versus the Carolina Panthers, registered an average audience of 15.6 million viewers and earned a 6.0 rating, 16 share among Adults 18-49. The Panthers won by a relatively close score of 32-29 after leading at halftime (23-7).

� ABC�s �MNF� qualified as the No. 1 TV show of the night among Adults 18-34 (5.3/15) and across each of the key men demographics: Men 18-34 (7.0/21), Men 18-49 (7.9/21) and Men 25-54 (9.0/23).

Tuesday

With another round of impressive numbers from �Commander In Chief,� along with its 8:00-9:00 p.m. comedies and �Boston Legal,� ABC posted its top Adult 18-49 non-sports rating (3.8/10) on the night in 7 months � since 3/8/05.

�According to Jim/Rodney� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

From 8:00-9:00 p.m., ABC�s Tuesday comedy block delivered strong audience retention. In its second season premiere in its new 8:30pm time slot, �Rodney� retained 94% of its Total Viewer lead-in (7.5 million vs. 8.0 million) and 97% among Adults 18-49 (2.8/7 vs. 2.9/8) coming out of �According to Jim.� In addition, �Rodney� built on its lead among Men 18-34 (1.8/6 vs. 1.7/7) and Teens 12-17 (1.4/5 vs. 1.3/5).

�Commander In Chief� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

Again surging from its lead-in and growing throughout its telecast, ABC�s �Commander In Chief� towered over its competition in the hour, outdrawing its nearest competitor by 5.7 million viewers (16.9 million vs. 11.2 million � CBS �Amazing Race�). On its second ever telecast in the time slot, the ABC drama finished in a near-tie (tied in audience share) for first place with NBC among Adults 18-49 (4.8/12 vs. 5.0/12) and straight-out won the hour among Adults 25-54 (6.5/14) and Women 18-49 (6.0/14). �Commander In Chief� qualified as the most-watched TV show on Tuesday for the second straight week.

� Up from its week-earlier series debut by 3% in Total Viewers (16.9 million vs. 16.4 million) and by 12% in Adults 18-49 (4.8/12 vs. 4.3/10), ABC�s �Commander In Chief� becomes the only new TV series this season to build its audience from Week 1 to Week 2. �Commander In Chief� was also up from its debut telecast in Adults 25-54 (6.5/14 vs. 5.8/13) and Adults 18-34 (3.1/9 vs. 2.7/7).

� With the second telecast of the new political family drama, ABC drew its biggest non-sports audience to the time period in 5 years and its highest Adult 18-49 rating in nearly 2 years � since 10/10/00 and 11/11/03, respectively.

� Once again �Commander In Chief� produced substantial tune-in for ABC in the 9:00 p.m. hour, building on its lead-in by 9.4 million viewers and by 71% in Adults 18-49. The freshman drama gained 1.5 million viewers (16.2 million to 17.7 million) and by 11% among Adults 18-49 (4.6/11 to 5.1/12) from start to finish.

�Boston Legal� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

Placing a solid second in its hour against time period veteran �Law & Order: SVU,� ABC�s �Boston Legal� beat the series debut of CBS� �Close to Home� by 1.4 million viewers (11.8 million vs. 10.4 million) and by 9% among Adults 18-49 (3.6/9 vs. 3.3/8).

� Compared to ABC�s average with original series programming in the hour last season, �Boston Legal� has improved the Net�s performance by 2.7 million viewers (12.1 million vs. 9.4 million), by 22% in Adults 18-34 (2.2/6 vs. 1.8/5), by 9% in Adults 18-49 (3.5/9 vs. 3.2/8) and by 18% in Adults 25-54 (4.7/11 vs. 4.0/10) on average. In its new time period, the sophomore drama posted ABC�s top series Adult 18-49 rating since early March � since 3/8/05.

Wednesday

For the third week in a row, ABC won Wednesday night in viewers (14.3 million), across the adult demos (AD18-34 � 4.7/14, AD18-49 � 5.7/15 and AD25-54 � 6.7/16) and among Teens 12-17 (3.2/12). The Network outdistanced second-place CBS during prime by 3.2 million viewers and by 68% in Adults 18-49 (CBS = 11.1 million viewers & 3.4/9).

�George Lopez� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

The 1-hour fifth season opener for ABC�s �George Lopez� took first-place in its time period, beating its closest competition by 7% in Total Viewers (9.1 million vs. 8.5 million � NBC�s �E-Ring�) and by 17% in Adults 18-49 (3.5/10 vs. 3.0/8 � Fox�s �So You Think You Can Dance� finale).

� �George Lopez� delivered its most-watched season premiere in 3 years � best since its second season premiere on 10/2/02. Additionally, the show tied its highest Adult 18-49 delivery for a season opener since 2002. In viewers and young adults, it was the series� top-rated individual telecast in 9 months � since 1/11/05.

� �George Lopez� showed strong build throughout its premiere telecast, surging by 1.0 million viewers (8.6 million to 9.6 million) and by 22% in Adults 18-49 (3.2/10 to 3.9/10) from its first half-hour to its second half-hour.

�Lost� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

ABC�s �Lost� towered over its time period competition, outpacing second-place CBS in the 9 o�clock hour by 10.4 million viewers (22.4 million vs. 12.0 million) and by 179% in Adults 18-49 (9.2/22 vs. 3.3/8).

� The sophomore ABC drama stood as the No. 1 TV show on Wednesday for the third consecutive week.

� Among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, �Lost� produced the series� third-highest numbers ever.

�Invasion� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC�s �Invasion� defeated NBC�s veteran �Law & Order� by 10% among Adults 18-49 (4.4/11 vs. 4.0/10) in the 10 o�clock hour. The freshman ABC drama won its time period among Adults 18-34 (3.7/11) and across each of the key men demos: M18-34 (3.5/11) and M18-49 (3.9/11) and M25-54 (4.6/12).

� ABC�s �Invasion� ranked as the No. 2 TV program of the night among Adults 18-34, trailing only �Lost.�

� On average, �Invasion� has improved ABC�s performance in the time period by 47% in Total Viewers (13.4 million vs. 9.1 million), by 42% in Adults 18-49 (5.4/14 vs. 3.8/10) and by 49% in Adults 25-54 (6.4/15 vs. 4.3/10) over the Net�s average with original regular programming last season.

Thursday

�Night Stalker� (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

In its second telecast of the season, �Night Stalker� again improved its time period for ABC, up by 1.6 million viewers (5.9 million vs. 4.3 million) and by 22% among Adults 18-49 (2.2/5 vs. 1.8/7) over the Net�s performance in the hour on the same night last year (10/7/04).

Friday

ABC earned second place on Friday in Adults 18-49 (2.3/7), while ranking No. 1 on the night in Adults 18-34 (1.9/7) for the third week in a row. ABC was up on both young adult measures from the previous Friday.

�Supernanny� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

�Supernanny� held second-place in the 8:00-9:00 p.m. hour across the adult demographics: Adults 18-34 (1.5/6-tie), Adults 18-49 (1.8/6) and Adults 25-54 (2.0/6).

�Hot Properties� (9:30-10:00 p.m.)

In its series debut, ABC�s �Hot Properties� built on its �Hope & Faith� lead-in among Total Viewers (6.1 million vs. 5.8 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.2/6 vs. 1.9/6). The new ABC comedy placed No. 1 in the 9:30pm half-hour among Adults 18-34 (1.8/6) and Women 18-34 (2.7/8).

�20/20� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC News� �20/20,� with an hour-long report focusing on home ownership and the real estate market, delivered a strong second place in 10 o�clock hour, besting third-place NBC�s replay �Law & Order: C.I.� by 1.3 million viewers (8.5 million vs. 7.2 million) and by 30% in Adults 18-49 (3.0/9 vs. 2.3/7). The ABC newsmagazine ranked No. 1 in the hour among Women 18-34 (3.4/11).

� �20/20� marked its strongest performance since mid-May among Total Viewers (8.5 million), Adults 25-54 (3.6/10) and Adults 18-49 (3.0/9) � since 5/13/05. The ABC newsmagazine matched its highest Adult 18-34 delivery in the last year � matched best since 9/24/04.

Sunday

ABC won its third straight Sunday night, outpacing second-place Fox with its NFL football and MLB baseball playoffs by substantial margins. ABC topped Fox during prime by 3.9 million viewers (17.2 million vs. 13.3 million) and by 45% in Adults 18-49 (7.1/17 vs. 4.9/12). In fact, ABC delivered an across-the-board victory on the evening, leading among Total Viewers, Adults (AD18-34/AD18-49/AD25-54), Teens 12-17 and Kids 2-11.

� ABC claimed the Top 3 TV shows on Sunday evening among Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54, with �Desperate Housewives,� �Grey�s Anatomy� and �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,� respectively. In addition, �Desperate Housewives� and �Grey�s Anatomy� stood as the two most-watched television shows on Sunday.

�America�s Funniest Home Videos� (7:00-8:00 p.m.)

For the second straight week, as it competed opposite an NFL Football overrun, ABC�s �America�s Funniest Home Videos� ranked as the No. 1 non-sports program in its time period among Adults 18-49 (3.1/9).

� Growing from its week-earlier season opener among Total Viewers (9.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (3.1/9), �AFHV� posted the series� strongest performance in 7 months � since 3/6/05.

�Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

�Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� put ABC up into the No. 1 position during the second hour of the night in the key Adult 18-49 sales demographic, beating second-place CBS� �Cold Case� by 58% (6.3/15 vs. 4.0/10). The broad appealing ABC unscripted program also won in its time period among Adults 25-54 (7.0/15), Adults 18-34 (5.4/15), Teens 12-17 (3.5/11) and Kids 2-11 (4.3/15).

�Desperate Housewives� (9:00-10:01 p.m.)

Drawing an average audience of 26.1 million viewers and an 11.1 rating, 24 share among Adults 18-49, �Desperate Housewives� overshadowed its time period competition. ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� beat second-place NBC�s �Law & Order: C.I.� (12.9 million & 3.9/8) in the 9 o�clock hour by 13.2 million viewers and by 185% in Adults 18-49.

�Grey�s Anatomy� (10:01-11:00 p.m.)

ABC�s �Grey�s Anatomy� delivered a commanding win in the 10 o�clock hour. In its time period, �Grey�s Anatomy� defeated second-place NBC by 5.2 million viewers (18.1 million vs. 12.9 million) and topped its combined NBC and CBS competition by 29% in Adults 18-49 (8.0/19 vs. 6.2/14). ABC�s second-year drama also topped the combined NBC and CBS Adult 25-54 delivery in the final hour of the evening by 15% (9.1/20 vs. 7.9/17).

� �Grey�s Anatomy� was up over the prior week among Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and across the key men demographics (M18-34/M18-49/M25-54).
