KATHY GRIFFIN HAS NO FEAR IN HER SEVENTH ORIGINAL BRAVO STAND UP SPECIAL, "BALLS OF STEEL," PREMIERING TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3 AT 9 PM ET/PT
New York, NY - October 15, 2009 - In her seventh original stand-up special for Bravo, two-time Emmy winning comedienne Kathy Griffin isn't holding back as she fearlessly bashes A-listers and trash talks Hollywood types in "Balls of Steel," premiering Tuesday, November 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo, followed by the second season premiere of "Tabatha's Salon Takeover."
Griffin dishes about her experience at the Teen Choice Awards with her date, Levi Johnston, and her take on recent headlines including Jon and Kate Gosselin, Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus. Griffin also expresses her joyfulness about an interview that couldn't have been more perfect than if she planned it herself: Oprah Winfrey's exclusive two-parter with Whitney Houston.
But what would a Kathy Griffin stand-up act be without a notorious Barbara Walters story? "Barbara Walters does not like me, but like Brokeback Mountain, I cannot quit her," Griffin explains. She then recounts her latest appearance on The View, in which Ms. Walters was absent. "They can run, but they can't hide," says Griffin.
Yes, this time Griffin may have gone too far with her A-List banter and she will need balls of steel in case there are any A-List repercussions.
"Kathy Griffin: Balls of Steel" is produced by RickMill Productions for Bravo. Kathy Griffin, Kimber Rickabaugh and Paul Miller serve as executive producers.
